Service Description
If you have dreamt of designing and making your own pendant, then this is the place to fulfil that dream. Create your very own sterling silver pendant using basic silversmithing techniques. You do not need to have any prior experience for this course as it is designed for the absolute beginner who just wants to explore the joy of working with silver. Learn to pierce (saw), file, texture and solder. With an option of a high polish or adding a patina, you also can choose to pay a little extra to purchase a standard 18 inch sterling silver chain to hang your pendant from. Create a silver necklace you will wear with pride, and carry with you some fantastic memories of your learning journey. The warm and welcoming studio is based in my home and there is always tea and coffee on offer to all friends (old and new) who share my workshop space. I am also renowned for having a cheeky slice of cake for guests. So any dietary issues, please let me know? Necklaces may be purchased on the day for £10 (cash or card accepted) Course duration: 2 and a half Hours Course availability: Only available on a Saturday or Sunday on certain weekends. Not during the working week. Sorry. Finally, please make sure you read the full Course Instructions before booking this course. Limited silver supplied, but should you require more, there will be an additional charge and this will be discussed at the start of the session.
Course policy
All participants MUST be over 18 years old. Please wear sensible clothing for this course. You will be provided with an apron, but clothing may be damaged during the process of making your jewellery. Please bring glasses if you need them for close work. All participants must ensure they wear closed shoes for the course. Anyone wearing flip flops of similar open shoes will not be able to participate in the course. If you have any dietary requirements (oat milk etc) please let us know so we can make sure you have a warm beverage that you are able to enjoy. We have dogs at the studio. And the studio is in our home. Although the dogs are kept out of the studio area while we are making the jewellery, it is highly likely you will meet our furry children. If this idea horrifies you, please let us know and we will do our best to allay any fears or worries you may have. However if you are allergic to dogs, then we will need to have a discussion before you book onto a course. Courses are ONLY available some weekends and in the evenings. Please do not book a course unless we have had a discussion about availability. NO more than TWO (2) participants per course, with an additional observer. Our studio area is quite small and we want you to get the most of your time on this course, so we simply cannot accommodate more participants. Cancellations may be made up to 48hours before the start of a course and a full refund will be made to you. Any cancellations made after this time will not be refunded and 100% of the course fee will be retained by Savannah Silver Jewellery.
